How to Integrate Ebbot with Facebook Messenger

If you don’t have a Facebook Page yet, you’ll need to create one.

Go to Facebook for Developers.
Click My Apps in the top-right corner.
From the dropdown menu, select + Add New App.

Note: You will need to log in with your Facebook account.
In the popup, provide the necessary details:
- For the app name, use something like CompanyName Messenger App.

In your app dashboard, find Messenger under Add a Product and click Set Up.

You might need to scroll down to find it.

In the app dashboard, go to the Access Tokens section.
From the dropdown menu, select your Facebook Page.

Note: If your page isn’t listed, ensure it’s created and properly linked to your account.
If you encounter a permissions issue:
- Click Edit Permissions and follow the prompts to grant the necessary access.
Once the Page Access Token is generated:
- Click to copy it.
- Paste it into the Page Access Token field in Ebbot Integration.

In the Facebook app dashboard, navigate to the Webhooks section.
Click Subscribe to Events.
Copy the Callback URL from Ebbot Integration and paste it into the Callback URL field.
In the Verify Token field, input an easy-to-remember value, such as secret-token-for-my-company.

Note: Use dashes (-) instead of spaces.
Under Subscription Events, check the following:
- messages
- messaging_postback
Click Verify and Save.

Note: If you see an error, wait a few seconds and try again.

In the Facebook app dashboard, navigate to Settingsand complete the following:
- Add an app icon.
- Provide a Privacy Policy URL.
- Select a category.
- Choose a business use case.

You’ve successfully integrated Ebbot with your Facebook Messenger app. Your bot is now ready to interact with users!

To integrate Ebbot with Facebook Messenger, you'll need to create a Facebook App, link it to your Page to get a Page Access Token, and then set up webhooks using the Callback URL from Ebbot.
