# How to Integrate Ebbot with Facebook Messenger

## To integrate Ebbot with Facebook Messenger, you'll need to create a Facebook App, link it to your Page to get a Page Access Token, and then set up webhooks using the Callback URL from Ebbot.

### Follow these steps to set up and integrate Ebbot with your Facebook Messenger app

### **1. Create a Facebook Page**

If you don’t have a Facebook Page yet, you’ll need to [create one](https://www.facebook.com/pages/create).

### **2. Create a Facebook App**

1. Go to [Facebook for Developers](https://developers.facebook.com).
2. Click **My Apps** in the top-right corner.
3. From the dropdown menu, select **+ Add New App**.
   
   > **Note:** You will need to log in with your Facebook account.
4. In the popup, provide the necessary details: 
     - For the app name, use something like *CompanyName Messenger App*.

### **3. Set Up Messenger**

1. In your app dashboard, find **Messenger** under *Add a Product* and click **Set Up**.
   
   > You might need to scroll down to find it.

### **4. Integrate the App with Your Facebook Page**

1. In the app dashboard, go to the **Access Tokens** section.
2. From the dropdown menu, select your Facebook Page.
   
   > **Note:** If your page isn’t listed, ensure it’s created and properly linked to your account.
3. If you encounter a permissions issue:
   
     - Click **Edit Permissions** and follow the prompts to grant the necessary access.
4. Once the **Page Access Token** is generated:
   
     - Click to copy it.
     - Paste it into the **Page Access Token** field in **Ebbot Integration**.

### **5. Integrate Ebbot with Your Facebook App**

1. In the Facebook app dashboard, navigate to the **Webhooks** section.
2. Click **Subscribe to Events**.
3. Copy the **Callback URL** from **Ebbot Integration** and paste it into the **Callback URL** field.
4. In the **Verify Token** field, input an easy-to-remember value, such as `secret-token-for-my-company`.
   
   > **Note:** Use dashes (`-`) instead of spaces.
5. Under **Subscription Events**, check the following:
   
     - *messages*
     - *messaging\_postback*
6. Click **Verify and Save**.
   
   > **Note:** If you see an error, wait a few seconds and try again.

### **6. Finalize Your App Settings**

1. In the Facebook app dashboard, navigate to **Settings**and complete the following: 
     - Add an app icon.
     - Provide a Privacy Policy URL.
     - Select a category.
     - Choose a business use case.

You’ve successfully integrated Ebbot with your Facebook Messenger app. Your bot is now ready to interact with users!
